Please see video below on how to measure your dog.   The measurement is taken from the very base of the neck to the start of the tail.  Make sure your dog is standing up straight otherwise it is very easy to measure too far up the neck and you will get a coat too large.   You have to imagine that the coat will go around the chest and then around the back – it will sit around the shoulder blades not on the neck
